Chinese fellowship of Victoria is one of the longest established and most notable Chinese community organizations in Victoria since 1971. Last year 2021, we carried out several competitions including karaoke, table tennis and essay. Our committee edited a special publication to share our events with the society. Most recently the disruptions caused by Covid-19, and after delays, our club managed to celebrate this important milestone. We held to have a Gala dinner at the Manningham hotel on 3 September, 2022.
There were more than 140 guests including many Members of Parliament, City Council Councillors, Community leaders and members. In addition to dinner, the banquet also featured rich cultural and entertainment programs, and invited a number of well-known guests to perform and sing, as well as chorus and lucky draws. Moreover, our committee presented rewards and thanks to Senior Life members in particular to those who made special contributions over the year.
The guests and all the members enjoyed the Gala night, and our CFV 50th anniversary celebration dinner concludes successfully.
**We appreciate Keith Wolahan MP made a speech in Australian Parliament 12 September 2022, to congratulate and praise Chinese fellowship of Victoria for their many years of service to Chinese community in Victoria.
